Individual believers as well as churches can:
- Pray for Israel and the Jewish people to believe that Yeshua is their Messiah
- Get to know Messianic believers in your community and find ways that you can serve them. Perhaps you could even travel to Israel and serve local Messianic congregations there.
- Give financially to Messianic Ministries, such as Tikkun Ministries www.tikkunministries.org and First Fruits of Zion www.ffoz.org
- Stand up for Israel by joining ICEJ www.icejusa.org
- Read good books about the Messianic movement and Israel (see the shelfari widget below)
One year ago in June, my wife and I went to Kansas City to be part of the Israel Mandate conference that the International House of Prayer (IHOP) puts on every year. As this post goes to print, the 2010 Israel Mandate conference is going on this weekend. The speakers this year were: Mike Bickle (head of IHOP) and: Eitan Shishkoff, Daniel Juster, and Robert Stearns.
Daniel Juster spoke at last year’s conference and I heard Eitan speak at the UMJC conference in Columbus many years ago. Daniel is the head of Tikkun Ministries in Israel, and Eitan heads up one of those ministries called Tents of Mercy in Haifa, Israel. Tents of Mercy has established 5 congregations throughout the Galilee region which provides help, such as:• Humanitarian Aid Warehouse and Distribution Center
• Absorption Apartments for immigrants
• Pro-Life Counseling Office
• Outreach to Women in prison and prostitution
• Soup Kitchen for the poor
• Drug Rehabilitation Center
Eitan, or Moishe as he was known then, and his wife Katya, were living the hippie life style in San Francisco in the 1970 before they moved to a farm in Maryland, where they tried living off the land. Along the way, they found the great enlightenment they were searching for in the person of Yeshua. Both Moshe and Katya became believers within a few days of each other.
You can hear some of their talks at the conference through this link:
I recommend that you pray through these verses to focus your thoughts:

Psalm 148:14 "And He has exalted the horn of His people, The praise of all His saints-- Of the children of Israel, A people near to Him. Praise the LORD!"
Zechariah 2:8 "For thus says the LORD of hosts: "He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye."
Psalm 122:6 "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you."
Matthew 23:39 "for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'Blessed [is] He who comes in the name of the LORD!'”
